As a mother, the enemy wants me to feel hopeless, forgotten, restless, tired, lonesome and shaken. But I am not. I am a victor in Christ Jesus. I stand on his Word. Full of faith. Full of joy. Full of power through the Holy Spirit. Called to my home, for this season, to speak Truth and Life into the lives of my little men.
The same is true for you. Not only as a mother, but as a believer.
The Lord laid two Psalms on my heart this past summer. Two Psalms that I wanted to pray over an amazing group of women at Cedar Spring Presbyterian Church last month when I came to speak. But ran out of time (I just talk too much).
So this morning, I say, let us all, as mothers, as believers, Arise, shine, for [our] light has come, and the glory of the Lord has risen upon [us]. – Isaiah 60:1
Let us unite, in prayer, as sisters in Christ, as mothers, as wives, as women. As friends. In the power of the Holy Spirit, let us rejoice and be filled with joy. The joy of our calling.
Pray, refresh and celebrate Jesus, today.
Lord, let our souls find rest today, in you alone.
Our hope comes from you.
You alone are our rock and our salvation.
You are our fortress, we will not be shaken.
Our salvation and honor comes from you,
Our rock and redeemer.
We will trust in you at all times.
We pour out our hearts to you today
for you are our refuge.
Because you, O Lord, are strong and
You, O Lord, are loving.
Today, Lord, we shout for joy to You.
We worship you with gladness.
We come before you with joyful songs.
We know that you Lord are God. You made us.
We are yours.
We are your people, the sheep of your pasture.
We enter your gates today with thanksgiving
and your courts with praise!
For, Lord, you are good and your love endures forever;
your faithfulness continues through all generations.
Derived from Psalm 62 & 100
I pray God blesses your sweet home today. I pray you are filled to overflow with peace and joy. I pray you walk in victory over any weapon that forms itself against you. God is just amazing. Love to you all.
Andrea and Monica are the directors of PepMoms this year. What a big job. Thank you for serving all of those amazing women. I am so encouraged and challenged by you. You are both so beautifully and evidently in love with Jesus.
Here are more beautiful women. I loved meeting all of you. What an honor! (I wish I had taken more pictures of the entire group!) I am so encouraged by your unwavering intent on pursuing the Lord, your desire for Christian fellowship and spiritual growth in motherhood. Wow.
I admire you all.
