Father, I am so glad the Holy Spirit is within me, to strengthen me with power in my inner person…to make Christ real within me and flood my heart with His limitless love…to fill me with Your fullness…to enable me to know, in personal experience, the things You have so freely bestowed on me in Christ – my new identity, my incredible spiritual blessings.
The Spirit of God in you. Anyone who does not have the Spirit of Christ does not belong to him. But if Christ is in you, although the body is dead because of sin, the Spirit is life because of righteousness. Romans 8:9-10
I celebrate the fact that I have been crucified with Christ and that now I am alive with His life…that through my new birth I died out of my old life, and that You resurrected me to a living relationship with You…and so I am dead to sin and alive to You! Thank You that these FACTS are true, whether or not they seem logical, whether or not they feel true…and that as I praise you for them, Your Spirit enables me more and more to live in the light of my new identity in You. Thank You that He is using Your Word to deliver me from the viewpoints and values of the world, the flesh, and the devil….He is renewing my mind to see things from Your point of view, so that I can walk in newness of life.
We know that Christ being raised from the dead will never die again, death no longer has dominion over him, For also consider yourselves dead to sin and alive to God in Christ Jesus. Romans 6:10-11
I praise you that Christ is not a weak person outside of me, but a tremendous power inside me…that through Him I am competent to cope with life, to do your will, to love with Your love, to be more than a conqueror. How I rejoice that I can grow, develop my gifts, enlarge my capacities….that I need not be forever shackled by my past, but that with confidence and joy I can look forward to actually becoming all that You have in mind for me to be.
No, in all of these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. Romans 8:37
Today, I lay every sin I have committed at your feet. Every harsh word to my husband, every tooth gritted growl at my kids. I lay down every unwise penny spent, every morsel too many, every thought unclean, every ounce of greed or unthankfulness. You have opened my eyes this Monday for the purpose of Your Glory. You wait for me with palms cupped, overflowing with new mercies and grace. I drink from Your cup today. I receive You with Joy! Now today, I move forward, leaving my past behind me and the Cross before me. I love you. This Monday is Yours. This week is Yours.
Together, in the POWER of your Holy Spirit, let’s make it great.
In Jesus Name, Amen.
