November Gratitude … Proclaim

So now Jesus and the ones he makes holy have the same Father. That is why Jesus is not ashamed to call them his brothers and sisters. For he said to God, “I will proclaim your name to my brothers and sisters. I will praise you among your assembled people.” He also said, “I will put my trust in him,” that is, “I and the children God has given me.” Hebrews 2:11-13

I think I have shared this before, but for the sake of new readers, I will again….

Years ago, my sweet mama met Jesus face to face after a long year’s battle with Pancreatic Cancer. I barely had the opportunity to glean wisdom from her on childrearing, being a wife, how to keep a home, or just adulting, in general.

I trust God’s timing and know He numbers our days, but it doesn’t stop me from greiving all that we never had to chance to do together this side of heaven.

BUT. There is one thing.

One thing we FOR SURE enjoy doing together on a the DAILY….

Worship.

Yes. Death could not take that away.

When I worship the Lord, I know that mama and I are in one accord. Raising our voices to the Almighty – in perfect harmony. Isn’t that so comforting?

Do you miss a loved one, too? I pray this picture gives your heart a smile… the two of you are still together in a spirit of worship.

But friends. Read Hebrews 2 again.

Jesus…. AND his brethren (that is us)…. sing praise together, too.For He said to God, “I will proclaim your name to my brothers and sisters. I will praise you among your assembled people…”

Jesus sings praise and worship, tooooo. Hold the phone!

“This quotation from a messianic prophecy (Ps 22:22) reveals how the Spirit of the Christ fills the New Testament church, as Jesus identifies Himself so closely with His people and enters into songs of worship with them.” – The Spirit-Filled Life Bible

Do you see?! The Lord HIMSELF enters in AMONG his people and joint-praise releases as spirit of prophesy. Jesus begins proclaiming the NAME of God to the people! AMONG the people. He confesses His trust in the Father.

WHAT?! Is this exciting to anyone but me?!

Jesus shows us E-V-E-R-Y-T-H-I-N-G!

Even an example of PRAISE and WORSHIP.

Can I encourage you to go now and enjoy this communion with your Savior? Read a Psalm. Sing a hymn. Magnify the Name of God with Christ. For He truly is Emmanuel, God WITH US…. even to the end of the age. Matthew 28:20

I means so much to hear from you!
