Shout with joy to the Lord, all the earth! Worship the Lord with gladness. Come before Him, singing with joy. Acknowledge that the Lord is God! He made us, and we are His. We are His people, the sheep of His pasture. ENTER His gates with thanksgiving; go into His courts with praise. Give thanks to Him and praise His name. For the Lord is good. His unfailing love continues forever, and His faithfulness continues to each generation. Psalm 100
We have an invitation. This month. This day. This moment.
And invitation to ENTER into the gates of the Lord.

This November we will discuss varying ways to offer thanksgiving to the Lord… but first let us stop and note – we must accept the invitation.
A mindful pause in this moment to consciously enter in.
Enter, as used of King David, means to “come in, to abide.”
Mmmm. To abide.
Don’t you just love that word?
Honestly this is a word I reserve in context of the Spiritual life.
I never say, “Tonight, I will be abiding at home with my family.” or “Are you free for a coffee? Let’s go abide at Starbucks!”
Nope. This word is special.
God extends His hand to you today, standing at the gate of November, inviting you to come in. And stay.
Before we move on this month, take a moment, close your eyes and envision this. Then choose.
Mindfully accept the invitation to enter.
And let’s abide. Together.
Journal: What things cause you to stay outside the gate? How can you set those things aside and make space to move into this season of thanksgiving? Offer a prayer asking the Lord to help you remain mindful of His invitation to enter into His gates today.
