Day Six… Before You Go.

I believe one of the main crux of the Christian life is knowing WHO we are in Christ and renewing our mind to this reality over and over again. Just the idea of never needing to cast down a lie or renew my thinking makes me long for heaven. LOL. Our minds will be fully restored and whole. We will see as God sees. Mmmmmm. Come Lord, Jesus.

But until then, we must constantly remind ourselves that we are God’s workmanship. His beloved. Approved. Anointed. Fully known. Fully loved.

The world will do its best to convince you otherwise and our minds quickly want to align with this “not enough” message. It is easier to believe the worst about ourselves than God’s best. When that happens, I want you to be ready with this Scripture…

We are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago. Ephesians 2:10

Yep, you are His masterpiece. Crazy right?

This word, masterpiece, is the Greek work poiēma and it literally means “the work of God as creator” and is used only ONE other time in all of Scripture.

Look at this…. For since the creation of the world (poiēma) God’s invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that people are without excuse. Romans 1:20

So in other words, God’s invisible qualities – his eternal power and divine nature – are on display through His creation. His poiēma. That is YOU. His workmanship. His masterpiece.

See! Renew your mind to this truth bomb. You are His Masterpiece in Christ Jesus and are a reflection of HIM. Of all God created (and He created it all) He looks at YOU and says, “Now that kid. He is MY handiwork. I am SO proud of him. I have plans for him. Good things in store and I have it all mapped out.”

Before you go, know this…. Ephesians 2:10 is your reality no matter what is going on around you – school decisions, testing, admissions, essays, projects, etc. God has prepared good works for you way beforehand. Deep breath. Walk in them. Keep in step with God. You will always find your truest self right there.

Lord Jesus, thank you for preparing good works for us. Thank you for creating US in your image to display Your invisible qualities. Wow. Help us to walk in the good plans You have prepared for us long ago. We love you Jesus. Amen.
