Day four. Before you go…

For who has known the mind of the Lord? Who will instruct Him? But we have the mind of Christ.  1 Corinthians 2:16

This concept is kinda out there. Most things in the Kingdom of God are. But, before you go I want you to fully understand what is available to you in Christ.

You see, this world will tell you that knowledge is king. Our culture is inundated with information. Media blasts through our phones, podcasts, books, audible, television, streaming, etc etc etc.

But as a believer in Jesus we have the ability to filter EVERYTHING through the eyes and mind of Christ.  Yes we have the mind of Christ.

You have His mind.

But there is a little catch – we must choose to think as Christ thinks.  I will talk to you more about renewing your mind soon, but before you can renew your thinking you must first understand what is available to you through faith…. THE MIND OF CHRIST.

You know, in the garden, Adam and Eve were given a choice. Life or knowledge.  They chose knowledge. And without awareness, we, too, will choose it every time.  At first glance this appears to be a smart choice. Knowledge is good, right?

But the Bible is clear… wisdom first – which is the fear of the Lord- and then knowledge. In that order.

Today, I want your ‘mind of Christ” mind to think on this. {smile}. There are many ways God sets you apart from the world, and this is one of them. You think differently because He thinks differently. You see differently because He sees differently. It is a gift, sweetie. I pray you will learn to access what is available to you.

Ironically, it takes mindfulness to have the His mind. It is a daily practice. Well, a moment to moment discipline, really.

Before you go, know that when you feel at a loss for what to do, remind yourself “Oh yeah, I have the mind of Christ. He will instruct me.”

Get in the Word:  1 Corinthians 2:11-16

Lord Jesus, thank You so much for not leaving us to our own reason. What a mess we get ourselves in apart from you. Teach us how to live in a way that we think as You think, see as You see and live as You did. We love You, Lord. In Jesus Name, Amen.

*These are writings for my soon to be graduate son, FYI. Hope you enjoy.

I means so much to hear from you!
