 Mary, who also sat at Jesus’ feet and heard His word. Luke 10:39

Today, if you haven’t yet….. PUT YOURSELF IN THIS STORY.

You. Be. Mary.

The Lord Jesus is speaking to YOU. And these aren’t “just words” for the sake of talk.

This is THE WORD (Jesus) speaking THE WORD.

Mind blown.

Look closely:

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.  He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made.  John 1:1-3

Nerd-out with me for a moment.

Logos, the original Greek for “WORD” is the SAME used in BOTH references (Luke 10:39 and John 1). And while I could write a much longer and in-depth dissertation on this concept, in brief, Logos means: a thought that comes to expression, message, declaration, reason, or the content of preaching; a topic, the Divine Expression (i.e. Christ). [This is important so read that one more time]

So just a random, let’s say Monday, Jesus comes through a certain neighborhood (let’s say your own) and you wave Him down and invite Him in (go ahead and do this wherever you are). He sits down beside you. You seat yourself at His feet …. and THE WORD OF GOD, by whom ALL things (including YOURSELF) were created, begins to speak DIVINE UTTERANCES to you.

The Breath of God, which fills all created things with life is now so close to Mary, I imagine she can feel the warmth of that very Breath, speaking to reveal Himself, not only the the world… but to her.

Beloved.

The Breath of God – which created you – is right there with you. Speaking.

Mary understood this. And I want us too, as well.

What else is there to do but seat ourselves and receive logos from The LOGOS Himself.

Do you see? This Christmas. This Baby. It was all for this moment.

He came to breathe life INTO you. And He came to breathe life over you.

He was face to face with God and now He has come to your house, this moment, to be face to face with you.

Let this change you.

Choosing What Is Better:

• Look up Genesis 2:7 in your Bible. Flip through The Logos of God until you land upon this Truth. Write out what you notice. How does this apply to you right now?
• Now I encourage you to sit quietly before the Lord for a few moments. Phone away, no to-do list tugging at your thoughts. Sit with God and breathe. Take note of your breath and reflect on God breathing “the breath of life into the man’s nostrils.” How does this apply to you in this moment?
• Now turn to 2 Timothy 3:16. Sit with this verse. Journal what comes alive to you. The same breath that brought you life, also wrote all of the Bible #mindblown. What is this LIVING, BREATHING WORD teaching you lately? How is it correcting you? How is it training you?
• And this is just me with my mind still blown talking to you…. don’t miss this…. THE BREATH OF GOD WROTE SCRIPTURE. THE BREATH OF GOD GAVE YOU LIFE. SAME. BREATH. (please let this blow your mind, too) SAME. BREATH. Take a deep breath…. THAT BREATH. SAME BREATH.
