30 Days of Deeper (Day 15)

Recently, the Lord has been gifting me with a Scripture every single morning before my head lifts off the pillow. As I have been writing everyday here, I had to shoot straight and ask Him for as much anointing as He thought I could handle.

In committing to this 30 Days of Deeper, I certainly didn’t want to write lame posts or dish out stale bread every morning on this site. My heart, instead, was to write fresh Manna for all of you … and only God could supply the Word.

So now I have come to look forward to those early morning “soul downloads” from God before I roll out from under my weighted blanket. If you have never asked Him to do this for you…. I highly recommend it. He will do it! God is such a blast!

So today, He gifted us with Psalm 118:24 right out of the gate AND He coupled it with my sweet friend, Diana’s, New Orleans drawl – reminding me of her first-of-the-week encouragement weeks ago.

You see, Diana is a self-professing MONDAY LOVER. Yes. This beauty loves a fresh Monday morning.

Her reasoning?

“Monday’s are a great day to try something new.” – Diana P.

WOW! How is that for a new look at this dreaded day!?

She claims she NEVER dreads a Monday! Can you imagine how this could change our lives forever?! To look FORWARD to the dreaded first day of the work week?

This philosophy would have stopped the Carpenters in their tracks! “Rainy days and Monday’s” wouldn’t have gotten anyone down if we could JUST ADOPT Diana’s mindset!

So today friends, let’s ALL speak out loud in our very best New Orleans Yat Dialect, just like our friend Diana, and say… “Today is a great day to try something new!”

And then we are going to agree with King David and say, “This is the day the Lord has made, We will rejoice and be glad in it.” Psalm 118:24

Remember. If this is what we THINK, then this is how we will FEEL! And if this how we FEEL then we will ACT OUT OF THIS thinking all day long!

This word REJOICE in its original Hebrew means to DELIGHT! BE JOYFUL! TO DANCE! TO LEAP FOR JOY! TO SPIN AROUND! (**I am not making this up!**)

This day… this Monday… The Lord has made for YOU and we should SPIN AROUND AND LEAP FOR JOY and be GLAD! You will only get this ONE MONDAY EVER. Only ONE July, 6th 2020 in your entire lifetime.

What are you going to do with it?

Well, Diana says its a great day to start something new! I think King David and Diana would have been buddies, don’t you?

REFLECTIONS:

Do you have a hard week ahead of you? Take a minute to declare King David’s statement of faith over this day and week. “Lord, this is the day that you have made. I WILL rejoice and be glad in it.” Even if you don’t “feel” these words are true, speak them out. They will change the atmosphere.
Make of list of NEW THINGS you could try today. Maybe it is something as simple as reciting a new Scripture or taking a new route on your morning walk. Maybe the Lord is moving you to try something even BIGGER… like filling out that application or reaching out to a new friend. Don’t over think it… if God is nudging you TRUST HIM.
