A Thanksgiving Psalm
On your feet now—applaud God!
Bring a gift of laughter,
sing yourselves into his presence.
Know this: God is God, and God, God.
He made us; we didn’t make him.
We’re his people, his well-tended sheep.
Enter with the password: “Thank you!”
Make yourselves at home, talking praise.
Thank him. Worship him.
For God is sheer beauty,
all-generous in love,
loyal always and ever.
The Message, Psalm 100
What if you changed one thing about your day?
Just one.
What if you woke with the name Jesus on your lips?
When you wake, say His name and give thanks. Enter His presence with the password, “Thank you.” Every morning. Every day.
Thanksgiving isn’t a November thing. It is a Jesus thing. The act of Thanksgiving is a key into His Presence.
When you thank Him, you are home. You are wired for gratitude. All this time we thought it was the turkey that made warmed our bellies – making us feel good. No, maybe it is the day that we have finally found our home. Not home for Thanksgiving. But at home in thanksgiving and praise. You were created for this.
Every morning, open your eyes and unleash the brave. Speak His name over your day. Say thank you and breathe in the wonder of His presence.
And Happy Thanksgiving to you. This day. Everyday. Every morning. Jesus.
