Jesus & Joe: A Coffee Devotional
A friend gave me a photo album this summer. A photo album! Do you remember the olden days when we printed pictures!?
Well ironically, she didn’t give me a photo album for pictures, but to hold my Jamberries (shameless plug for her business. Love me some jams)…
But I hope my friend isn’t sad to see that I have not been using her gift as intended. The Lord had other plans for that sparkly blue case.
I fill my journal full of verses that I need for that day. I write them down. I meditate on them. I pray them. I speak them.
But when I am driving to Kroger and need to recall that morning’s Scripture, I can’t always remember it exactly. And that makes me crazy.
So, oh-so-not-very-crafty-me, thought to myself one day, “Hmmm. I have blank 4×6 note cards. Hey, I also have an empty 4×6 photo album. What if I put Scripture on these 4×6 cards and fill my empty album!?! I can keep it in my purse! I’m a genius!”
See why you read my blog?
So here’s the result. Please don’t be overwhelmed by my creativity.
And this glorious verse has been my soul’s anchor this week.
Lean on, trust in, and be confident in the Lord with all your heart and mind and do not rely on your own insight or understanding. In all your ways recognize and acknowledge Him and He will direct and make straight and plain your paths. Proverbs 3: 5-6 AMP
Can I get a “Mmm” !?!? Don’t we all just love the Amplified Version of the Bible. Good stuff.
So, that’s my tale of the photo album.
The End.

Becky,
I love, love, love that you’re using your album for daily devotionals! What a wonder idea! There are so many times I can’t remember scripture that I’ve read, and this is a perfect way to keep it close at all times!
Many blessings,
Kristin
You are too crafty! I will sometimes pull up the verse I need on my Bible app, screen shot it, and put it as my home screen for the day- then every time I turn on my phone I see it and meditate on it!
If you haven’t heard of She Reads Truth – go google it right now! They run daily devotional series… but what I use even more is what they call Weekly Truth. Scripture memory verses for the week. They offer beautiful and free backgrounds and screen savers for your phone. I’m always downloading the latest one.
