We’re Better Together

Linking up with the Gypsy Mama for her…

“We write because we love words and the relief it is to just write them without worrying if they’re just right or not. So we take five minutes on Friday and write like we used to run when we were kids.” – Lisa Jo

She chooses the topic.  I write for 5 minutes flat –
no editing, no over thinking, no backtracking.

OK, are you ready? Here’s my best five minutes on:

“Community”

One of Satan’s most used tactics is fear of man.

Not only “fear of man” vs.” fear of God”.  But just fear of man.
Fear of Community.
Jesus calls us to love Him with everything.  He also calls us to each other.
To love each other, our neighbors, as ourselves.
But man can be scary.
Community can be scary.
Laying your life open where everyone, can see can be scary.
I have not given you a spirit of fear but of power
and of love and of sound mind.
2 Tim. 1:7
Fear opposes faith.
Fear hinders community.
If the enemy can sever us from one another, we are less effective as a body.
The whole is more powerful than the part.

I need safe places to fall.  Soft ears to listen.  Sweet arms to hold me.

I desperately need tangible hands of Jesus around me.  Pushing me.

Telling me to “go go go.”
We need community.  It isn’t a suggestion.
It is a call.

STOP.
